Canadian Abilities Foundation
We envision an inclusive, universally accessible society. Our mission is to advocate, educate, build awareness and deliver effective,
well-run programs that support youth and adults with disabilities and their families and caregivers.
Our mandate is to:
• Empower individuals living with physical disabilities, mental health challenges or frailties to overcome barriers
to achieve their goals.
• Promote accessibility in order to reduce the stigma associated with disability and aging.
• Provide youth with opportunities for practical employment experience and on-the-job training.
• Celebrate and support family and professional caregivers.
Our commitment is to:
• Actively uplift our community by promoting inclusivity and delivering programs that enhance the lives of individuals
with disabilities and those living with the effects of aging.
• Continuously improve our programs and actively listen to feedback as we strive to make a lasting and positive impact.
• Foster improved accessibility, increased opportunities and an enhanced quality of life for everyone.
Our programs include:
Publishing and Education – a participating network of over 500,000 Canadians with 4 magazine titles, social networks and websites.
